Our Commitment to Health & Safety

Mitigating the danger of potentially hazardous operations

According to RIDDOR, falls from height account for 29% of fatal injuries to workers which illustrates the inherent danger faced by roofing contractors and others working at height.

We take very seriously our responsibility for welfare and focus heavily on health and safety. Together with main contractors, White Key Roofing work to ensure that the risks associated with our works are mitigated as much as is practicable.

White Key Roofing operates comprehensive policies relating to health and safety which are reviewed regularly by the senior management team to ensure implementation of changes and updates.

We aim to make our health and safety system as transparent as possible for our customers and partners. Regular health and safety audits are completed by White Key Site Supervisors and Managers and made available for project stakeholders. Issues discovered during site audits are tracked to completion with improvement plans documented and monitored to ensure compliance.

Employee participation is a crucial part of our health and safety policies and procedures. As well as providing training to our employees, we value their input and take on board suggestions to improve process and practices by providing forums to foster interaction.

Our partnership with the British Safety Council, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious health and safety organisations serves as a source of information and support helping us to improve health and safety within our business.

White Key Roofing are also accredited by the CHAS, SMAS, CQMS and NHBC Safemark health and safety schemes which demonstrate our health and safety competence and streamlines the sub-contractor pre-qualification process.
